Rebecca Hack

As an award-winning teacher and school leader Rebecca has dedicated her working life to supporting disadvantaged children.

Over the last five years Rebecca has shared her expertise with more than 15 000 teachers and community members right across Queensland helping them to understand the devastating impact of childhood trauma.

Rebecca lives locally in Toowong with her partner Josh, and their dog Pickles. She is a strong believer in the power of community and has always worked to give back to others through community service.  She has served as a dedicated foster carer, chaired a large animal rescue, and volunteered in many community and sporting organisations.

As a teacher, education leader, and having raised two sons, she will be a strong advocate for investment in our local schools.

Rebecca spent countless hours supporting her neighbours through the 2022 floods which ripped through her building. Rebecca knows first-hand how long and hard it was to recover from this event and has advocated for delivering a climate resilient city.

That’s why she is running as part of a Labor team that is taking action on climate change by introducing strong laws to force big polluters to cut emissions, so Australia can reach our net zero targets.

Rebecca also understands the pressures on household budgets, that’s why she’s proud to be running as part of Anthony Albanese’s team that has delivered a tax cut to every taxpayer, a power rebate to every household and delivered a pay raise for low paid workers. As well as making a record investment in housing to ease rents and make homes more affordable.

Rebecca has always been active in advocating for others and has never been afraid to speak up for what is right. As your representative she will be a strong voice on national and local issues.
