Michelle Byard

Michelle lives with her partner, Len, in Everton Park where she works and has raised her four children. She is dedicated to fighting for a better future for her grandchildren, and all Queenslanders.

As a proud health advocate, Michelle works tirelessly to support and campaign for the needs of her community. She is a dedicated Heart Transplant Social Worker, Community Leader, Together Union Vice President (Public Health) and an Advisor to the Australian Retirement Trust.

Through her work and lived experience, Michelle understands the importance of protecting and building healthcare into the future. Michelle knows the struggles of patients, their families and healthcare workers. That’s why she’s standing up to support Labor’s ambitious plan to make sure every Queenslander can access better healthcare, closer to home.

As your representative for Everton, Michelle will fight for a better, fairer Queensland and protect her community from the LNP’s attack on public health services.
