Labor Friends of Palestine

Labor Friends of Palestine was established on 14 December 2015 following endorsement by the ALP Administrative Committee.  The association operates with a membership committee of nine. This committee is elected by the ALP members who are registered members of Labor Friends of Palestine.

Our aim is to raise awareness and take actions along with advocacy groups world wide in working to help bring about freedom, justice and equality  for the Palestinian people.

The core objectives of Labor Friends of Palestine are:

1.    To promote an Australian Foreign policy that actively supports justice and the rights to self     determination for the Palestinian people.

2.    To advocate for the recognition of Palestine and a just solution to the ongoing Palestinian question within the ALP and broader Labour movement based on the values of adherence to human rights, humanitarian law, international laws, international conventions and United Nations resolutions.

3.    To raise awareness, recruit new members, keep people informed and, to work with like-minded peace and human rights advocates.
