James Knight

James Knight grew up in Surfers Paradise, working at various hospitality venues up and down the Gold Coast. He is currently studying Public Policy and Journalism at Griffith University.

James supports his studies working in a local café, and has first-hand knowledge of the hospitality and tourism industry’s huge importance to Surfers Paradise.

As a young student and renter, James understands the challenges faced by many families and local businesses and that’s why he supports the Miles Labor government’s vision for investing in the Gold Coast with new infrastructure,  housing for Queenslanders, assisting first home buyers, and providing real cost of living action. James knows that initiatives like 50 cent fares, energy rebates and 20% off rego will help every Surfers Paradise resident.

James is excited to join the Miles Labor team and is a passionate advocate for one of Australia’s fastest-growing cities.
