Emma Comer

Emma Comer is a passionate local committed to putting Petrie first. Inspired by her mum, a single parent who raised four kids while studying nursing, Emma’s values were shaped by the power of education, secure jobs, and strong communities.

Emma understands the cost of living pressures Petrie residents are facing – because she’s living them too. As a renter and former hospitality worker, Emma knows how important it is for governments to provide real relief to Australians who are doing it tough. 

She has a wealth of life experience, having worked across hospitality, environmental management, governance, and policy, giving her a strong sense of perspective on what government can do to help drive opportunity and prosperity.

Emma has always been driven by a commitment to serve others. She joined the army as an Officer Cadet to serve the country that she loves. After having to leave the military early due to injury, Emma has been a strong advocate for strengthening access to healthcare, particularly for our veterans. 

Emma Comer is ready to fight for real solutions and a fairer future for Petrie.
