Decriminalising abortion in Queensland was a significant win for Queensland women that came about after decades of work by activists across the state.
In 2018, Queensland’s Labor Government introduced the Termination of Pregnancy Bill that passed the Queensland Parliament with strong regulations around safe zones, regulations informed by medical and subject experts, and clear provisions for access in the public health system.
Now, Queenslanders are fighting to make sure these laws don’t go backwards. David Crisafulli and the LNP have publicly stated they intend to revoke reproductive rights in Queensland if they are elected into Government, after voting against the legislation in 2018.
Sign this petition to show your support for readily accessible termination of pregnancy services within the public health system for all Queenslanders. Access to termination of pregnancy should be guaranteed and universal throughout Queensland.
