Bauke Hovinga

As a doctor in regional Queensland, Bauke Hovinga knows how vital access to healthcare is. That’s why he put his hand up as the Labor candidate for Whitsunday; because he knows only a Miles Labor Government has an ambitious plan to deliver healthcare for our local community, closer to home.  

Bauke knows how important the satellite hospital in Mackay’s Northern Beaches will be to the region and knows this is all at risk under the LNP. He is also committed to Steven Miles’ plan to train more doctors, nurses and health professionals and to attract and retain them in our beautiful region.

Bauke loves living in the Whitsunday region both for its beautiful natural environment, and strong community feel. He has seen firsthand the way the Miles Labor government is doing what matters for Queensland when it comes to the environment as well as having a clear plan to keep our community safe and strong.
