Adrian Burke

Born and raised in Townsville, Adrian Burke calls beautiful Buderim home where he lives with his wife and two kids 11 and 13.

For over a decade, Adrian worked as a correctional officer and understands the need for better mental health and wellbeing supports. He is the founder of a mental health charity Response Mental Health and Wellbeing and wants to be part of the Labor team that invests in health care closer to home.

As a local dad to two young kids, cost of living relief to his family and locals is paramount. He says the sun is shining again on the Sunshine Coast with 50 cent fares being made permanent if Labor is elected in October. This means more money for Sunny Coast families, and less cars and congestion on the roads.

Education is key to the Burke family. Adrian says he will continue to fight alongside the Miles Labor Government who value teachers and schools unlike the LNP who shut down eight schools, and sacked teachers. Adrian’s wife is a local early childhood educator so he knows the Labor’s Free Kindy will educate children and develop the skills they need for the future and beyond.

Adrian knows at this election the people of Buderim have a choice between a Miles Labor Government doing what matters, taking Queensland forwards or the Crisafulli LNP who will cut what matters and take Queenslanders backwards.
