Regional Member Assemblies
In Labor, everyone gets a say in determining the policies that we take into Government and implement, to beter our state.
RMAs are Labor’s regular policy forums, organised by local party members, designed for Labor members to have a say. RMAs are formed in one or a number of federal electorates.
RMAs are designed for party members to engage with one another, through polucy debate, training or hearing reports from parliamentary members or differend groups with in the party. YOu will receive invitations from your local RMA organising team about upcoming meetings.
State Conference
State Conference is the supreme rule, policy and decision-making body of the Party. At State Conference every year, each chapter of the party platform is voted on.
State Conference voting delegate are made up of 50% branch delegates and 50% union delegates. Representatives from the parliamentary wings, Labor equity groups and Administrative Committee are also in attendance.
Branch delegates are elected every three years based on Federal Electorates.
Any party member can attend State Conference as an observer and there’s a Fringe program where members can participate and present on issues that are important to them. All party members will be notified and invited to State Conference each year once date and location are locked in.
