Jo-Ann has served the community as the Member for Bundamba since her election in February 2000. In this relatively short time Jo-Ann has built a reputation as a fierce advocate for her community and particularly the delivery of social justice and it is this tenacity that her constituents have come to expect from the Ipswich born and bred, married mother of two from Collingwood Park.
Jo-Ann has been able to drive and facilitate many projects in her local community from the Goodna Swimming Pool to the Springfield Police Station, from the over $100 million spent on local school upgrades, to the Centenary Motorway extension and to the much needed public transport boost that the Springfield Rail line will bring.
Grass root community issues for Jo-Ann have been improving our schools, involving the community in decision making through community renewal programs in Riverview/Dinmore and Goodna and Gailes, consultation on major projects such as the Bremer Business Park at Bundamba, the South West Corridor Transport study and the establishment of the Goodna Community Health Centre to provide localised services.
Jo-Ann currently serves on Transport and Public Works Committee.
