Megan O'Hara Sullivan
Spending her early years in Tara where her parents farmed, and her mother worked as a primary school teacher, taught Megan the importance of resilience and hard work.
Megan and her husband Dean moved to Toowoomba in 2004. Together they have raised five sons, all of whom attended local Toowoomba schools.
For over 30 years Megan has practised as an optometrist, with much of her time spent providing bulk billed eye tests to families at Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre.
Megan knows how to get things done, and has always valued results over politics. As a Toowoomba Regional Councillor and Portfolio Leader for the Finance and Business Strategy Committee from 2016 to 2020, Megan delivered strong financial management, including four budget surpluses in a row. Now as the Chair of the Planning and Development Committee, Megan has worked to ensure there is a pipeline of construction work for local tradies.
As Toowoomba North recovers from the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic, Megan will use her experience as a Councillor, an allied health professional and a board member on the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation to deliver for Toowoomba North.
