Rebecca Fanning is a Caboolture local who grew up in the outer northern suburbs of Brisbane. Her dad owned a small business, her mum taught at the local TAFE, and her grandparents owned a pineapple farm in Caboolture.
As a health policy expert, Rebecca was part of the team delivering the Palaszczuk Government's strong health response to COVID-19. Rebecca put her hand up to represent Longman because she couldn’t sit on the sideline watching Scott Morrison decimate our local health services any longer.
Rebecca is passionate about making sure every family has access to the best possible health care and is tired of seeing our region suffer as a result of the Morrison Government’s bungled vaccine rollout, failure to fix quarantine and cuts to Medicare.
Rebecca believes in the importance of secure work and will fight to ensure the region sees secure, local jobs created here in Longman.
Rebecca will be a real community voice for Longman, someone who has the experience and the passion to fight for good quality healthcare and secure work, close to home.
