Ben Whibley-Faulkner
Small business owner Ben Whibley-Faulkner lives with his wife, Naomi, and their two dogs in Wyreema. Ben put his hand up to run as the Labor candidate for Condamine as he doesn’t want his community to face the cuts the LNP have planned.
Growing up in Toowoomba, with two teachers for parents, Ben knows the importance of investing in education, both in Queensland teachers and schools. He wants to be part of the Miles Labor Government team that delivers Free Kindy for our young ones and working families, as well as Free TAFE to upskill Queenslanders into jobs.
Frustrated by the lack of attention given to the region, Ben believes that Condamine deserves a more engaged representative who will fight for local interests. He knows that only the Miles Labor Government can ensure big mining companies continue to pay their fair share in royalties, which has already provided a crucial $1000 off power bills, and 20% off car rego which has helped ease cost-of-living pressures for families and businesses alike.
The LNP’s plans to scrap mining royalties will hurt Condamine, but Ben is determined to ensure the region keeps moving forward under a united Miles Labor Government.
