Alex Cossu
Labor Candidate for Doboy
Introducing Alex Cossu, our dedicated community candidate for Doboy.
Alex has a deep love for his community and a determination to make a difference. Living in Murarrie with his wife Casey, Buddy the dog and Kitty the cat, Alex is committed to making Doboy an even better place to live.
He’s had a lifelong focus on community service and charity work, and has worked extensively with Beddown since 2018, a charity focused on helping the homeless. Growing up in Toowoomba as a first generation Italian, he was also heavily involved in local multicultural organisations.
Alex’s career in media production and digital marketing has seen him contribute his skills to institutions such as the Brisbane Broncos, the Premier’s Office in the Queensland Government during the COVID-19 pandemic, and his current role at the Bureau of Meteorology. As a union delegate, Alex is committed to advocating for the rights of his co-workers. People can consistently depend on him to offer assistance in times of need.
As a local, Alex is committed to delivering much-needed investment into the community that’s been ignored by this LNP council. From basic needs such as footpaths and roads to reliable and inclusive public transport, to sustainable development and flood mitigation, Alex will fight to ensure Doboy gets its fair share.
